Motivation is the drive, energy, and impulse to act. Whether it's intrinsic or extrinsic, its purpose is to facilitate some kind of action. Motivation is a critical element of success; with an increase in productivity, an organization, you can achieve higher levels of output. If you want to achieve greatness, you need to stop asking for permission.

This is why motivation is important in life because it stops asking questions and aligns you to work towards your goals. Goals are the stepping stones toward your dreams so, in order to achieve them, you need the motivation to keep you chugging along towards them.

Motivation is an important life skill.  In regards to physical health, research has shown that more autonomy, self-efficacy and positive attitudes in exercise is associated with exercise maintenance and increased exercise motivation.

Have an optimistic perspective while exercising and create S.M.A.R.T. goals tailored to you to help you stay motivated while exercising!

MONEY

We all want to feel healthy during the holidays, because often the temptation to indulge in sweets, unhealthy food, and less physical activity is irresistible during this time of year. During the holidays we are bombarded with holiday parties that are filled with candy, baked goods and yummy alcohol beverages that are hard to resist.

Also, the cold weather tends to be a time to stay inside and watch movies and cuddle up without engaging in physical activity during the winter.

By setting personal health goals and monitoring your goals during the holiday season you can find success in winning the holidays and feeling your best! Research shows that setting goals will help you stay accountable and lead to greater success. Here are a few tips on how you can ensure you win the holidays!

Think of your body as a business. Every successful business is based on investing (time, money, effort), discipline, consistency, and being resourceful. All of these aspects will tie into an active lifestyle in some way, shape, or form.

One major aspect of long-term nutritional and physiological health is budgeting. Knowing how to/when to purchase products/services will allow you to stay on track and sustain the results you obtain throughout your journey in regards to improving your overall health and wellness.

We've all heard the saying, "a goal without a plan is just a wish". So get real with yourself... sit down, grab a pen and paper, and track your expenses. Once you've identified everything, then you can really start investing in yourself, improve your physique, and impress all of your friends and family as you get a head start this new year!

NUTRITION

A person who is fit is capable of living life to its fullest extent. Physical and mental fitness play very important roles in our lives and people who are both, physically and mentally fit are less prone to medical conditions as well. People who are physically fit are also healthier and are also not prone to cardiac and other health problems.

Physical fitness is comprised of physical activity and exercise, two very different and substantial components of physiological health.

The problem is too many of us do not get enough of both due to three barriers: lifestyle, time, and money.

Once you understand how to break these three barriers down to their core you will be that much closer to improving your physical and mental health.

FITNESS

Many of us struggle with this topic. In fact, it's hard to argue that nutrition isn't an obstacle keeping people from improving their overall health and wellness. The issue with nutrition is that most people tie a negative stigma to the word. People think of deprivation, expensive, time-consuming...

Good nutrition means your body gets all the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals it needs to work its best. Plan your meals and snacks to include nutrient-dense foods that are also low in calories.

Eating a balanced diet is vital for good health and wellbeing. Food provides our bodies with the energy, protein, essential fats, vitamins and minerals to live, grow and function properly. We need a wide variety of different foods to provide the right amounts of nutrients for good health.

Staying healthy physically can help you stay healthy emotionally too. If you're eating the right food and keeping fit, your body will be strong and help you to cope with stress and also fight illness.

"Health is a state of body. Wellness is a state of  being."
